CAT® MINESTAR™ UNDERGROUND EXPERIENCE
Deep underground in Lead, South Dakota, is the Cat® MineStarTM Underground Experience, an opportunity for Caterpillar customers to see and interact with Cat technology solutions in what was once a fully operational mine. We worked hand-in-hand with the Caterpillar team to bring this VIP customer experience to reality, turning a blank slate into an interactive, educational and fun experience. We scripted the entire run of show — from the moment they step in the door, to traveling in the elevator car and train, to the interactive, high-energy simulated mining challenges they face. We developed messaging and signage for each location they visit underground. And in many cases, members of our team are working underground to direct and manage the experience.

Conditioning elements — designed, produced and installed throughout the experience to highlight the different areas of the facility and showcase the unique and rich history of Homestake Mine.

Projection mapping video — appears on the rock walls of the Underground Command Center and uses imagery from the historic Homestake Mine, where the Cat MineStar Underground Experience takes place.
The interior of the Cat MineStar Underground Command Center — equipped with a 20-foot LED Jumbotron showing content and live demonstrations, projection mapping on the walls, audio and teleconferencing systems and an audiovisual control room. This area is home base for customer groups while on site and is used by the Experience team to collaborate and demonstrate MineStar technologies.
Video animation — helps guide attendees through the experience and communicates one of the many features of Cat MineStar for underground.
